Landing page CRO
checklist.

A landing page CRO review checks whether the page helps the intended visitor understand the offer and complete the next action. Start with message match, price, evidence, mobile usability and checkout. Use analytics and customer questions to prioritize one testable change, then measure the business outcome rather than the checklist score.

Checks are temporary in this page. They are not submitted or saved.

How should you run the review?

  1. Open the actual ad and follow its link on a phone. Compare the offer and wording with the destination.
  2. Complete the journey through the next action, including errors, delivery costs and confirmation.
  3. Look at the funnel by device and traffic source. Separate observation from assumptions about why visitors leave.
  4. Write a specific hypothesis: which audience, which friction, which change and which outcome.
  5. Define the primary metric and guardrails before a test. Recheck tracking after implementation.

Which conversion rate should you measure?

Use a denominator that matches the question. Shopify’s online store reporting measures the share of sessions that result in a purchase, with separate stages for cart additions, checkout and completed checkout. Keep the definition and date window consistent when comparing changes. For lead generation, a form submission and a qualified conversation are different outcomes.

What does a completed checklist prove?

It records a review, not an expected lift or statistical result. A small account may not have enough conversion volume for a reliable split test. Fix broken functionality directly; treat design preferences as hypotheses. Watch acquisition cost, order value, refunds and customer quality so that a higher page conversion rate does not hide a weaker business result.

Pair the review with the break-even ROAS calculator and spend pacer. For implementation, see Clickflow’s Shopify conversion and retention service.
